About us

Vilnius University hikers club (VUZK) is a non profit seeking organisation for Vilnius University students who like travelling and active recreation.

VUZK club is also open to everybody crazy about travelling and those who love spending their time in nature and fun company.

VUZK official status is decided by club legislation.

How to meet member of the club?

Club members gather every Thursday at 8 pm in VUZK club, located at Sauletekio al. 31 in Vilnius. They come here to chat, look at photos and plan past and future trips while sipping tea. Here you can also hire tourist equipment. Come over!

VUZK also has a virtual conference, which is a great way to get information about the entire club’s news. If you wish to subscribe to it please send a blank email to: vuzk-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

 If you’ve heard about a trip we are organising (from the conference or your friends) do not hesitate to join us! Usually we depart form Vilnius by bus or train so all you need is to arrive at the train or bus station on time, get the ticket and find us (you’ll recognize us by our big backpacks). Our posters, hung in Vilnius University’s buildings and in hostels, will announce information about the main club’s events, including; a boat trip to the Ignalina lakes, and the Fresher’s Baptism in autumn, and also a Jamboree in April. Don’t be too lazy to spend great weekend in nature and meet great people who love travelling!
